If you are trying to get anyone in the C-Suite to use Twitter as part of your business strategy, then you should read this article. Great walk-thru on how to set-up Twitter for anyone to use it well. My favorite part of the article?
Elevator ride to the office : This can be a great time to tweet while you’re on the move to inspire your team for the day and to mention any important client meetings you may have. “Looking forward to meeting with @customer today, I see good things on the horizon” Stuff like that keeps you and the customer engaged and shows that you don’t just automate all your tweets.
Bathroom Breaks during meetings: Yes this sounds cheesy but when everyone stops a meeting for a quick break whip out your phone and send a quick tweet about how its going, or thanking everyone who is there for coming. (Please don’t do this while you’re using the bathroom, tends to be frowned upon and you don’t want the reputation of a toilet tweeter)
Right before bed: Sometimes tweeting right before bed is a good way to thank your team for the hard work of the day, or talk about an upcoming project. It takes moments and can help clear your head.
Big conferences: Tweet anything that catches your eye. Don’t just sit there, be active and share the experience with your team. Sharing meaningful quotes from the presenters can also make an impact on others.
